Creating a Calm Evening When You’re Mentally Tired

Evenings can be strange when you’re exhausted.

Your body is tired, but your mind keeps going.
Thoughts circle. To-do lists reappear. Tomorrow presses in.

I used to think evenings needed to be productive.
Now I think they need to be kind.

Why evenings matter more than we realise

The way we end the day often decides how we enter the next one.
Not perfectly - just emotionally.

A calmer evening doesn’t need a routine.
It just needs intention.

A few things that help me unwind

Books to read

A cosy blanket I love

A lamp to read

My favourite candle

You don’t need to earn your rest.
You’re allowed to arrive at it slowly.
